Titled "Let's Dance," the new commercial features David Bowie's iconic 1983 hit and takes a refreshingly different approach to traditional Christmas advertising.

The advert begins with a family gathered around the Christmas tree, opening presents to the familiar sounds of The Nutcracker.

But things soon take an unexpected turn when two young siblings decide to surprise everyone with a Christmas gift of their own.

As David Bowie's Let's Dance begins playing, the children launch into an impressive dance routine, complete with energetic moves, flips and plenty of festive fun.

Before long, the whole family is joining in, transforming an ordinary Christmas gathering into an unforgettable celebration.

The two young dancers are Hunter Weimann and Kinley Cunningham, with choreography by Emmy Award-winning choreographer Nina McNeely.

Rather than focusing on expensive presents or elaborate Christmas displays, Nordstrom's message is a simple one: some of the best Christmas gifts aren't things you can wrap.

The campaign also celebrates David Bowie's musical legacy, with Nordstrom launching a special Bowie80 collection featuring exclusive fashion collaborations ahead of what would have been the singer's 80th birthday in January 2027.

First released on 2 November 2026, the advert will appear across streaming platforms and social media throughout the festive season.

It's a fun, nostalgic Christmas commercial with a wonderful soundtrack, and certainly one to add to this year's growing collection of festive adverts.

What do you think of Nordstrom's Christmas advert? Does it get you in the festive spirit?
