Lidl has unveiled its 2026 Christmas advert, featuring Shaun Williamson, Chris Kamara and a festive twist on one of Britain's best-loved Christmas songs.

Christmas advert season is officially in full swing, and Lidl has joined the celebrations with a rather unexpected star – Barry from EastEnders! 🎄
Released on 3 November, the supermarket's new festive campaign, titled Lidl Christmas Everybody, stars Shaun Williamson, best known for playing Barry Evans in the BBC soap.
And rather than going for an emotional Christmas tearjerker, Lidl has opted for a good old-fashioned festive singalong!

The advert sees Shaun Williamson performing a hilarious reworking of Slade's Christmas classic Merry Christmas Everybody, complete with new lyrics celebrating everything from Christmas dinner to festive treats.
Dressed in a Lidl Christmas jumper, Shaun heads out into the neighbourhood delivering bags of Christmas goodies and spreading festive cheer.
He's joined by former footballer and television personality Chris Kamara, Capital FM presenter Kemi Rodgers and comedian Abi Clarke, who all get involved in the celebrations.
Expect plenty of singing, Christmas food and some wonderfully cheesy festive fun!
Lidl Is Spreading a Little Extra Christmas Cheer
Alongside the advert, Lidl is bringing back its Christmas Toy Bank, encouraging customers to donate new, unopened toys and gifts for children who might otherwise go without.
The initiative runs from 5 November to 16 December, with donations distributed through local charities and community organisations.
