Wallace & Gromit are back for Christmas 2026! The much-loved animated duo have reunited with British clothing brand Barbour for another festive adventure, complete with snowy scenery, thoughtful presents and one of Wallace's wonderfully disastrous inventions.
Created by award-winning animation studio Aardman, the new stop-motion Christmas advert, titled "Warm Wishes," sees Wallace and his faithful dog Gromit heading out for a Christmas Day walk that doesn't quite go according to plan.
And there's even a surprise appearance from Shaun the Sheep!

A Christmas Walk That Goes Hilariously Wrong
The advert begins inside Wallace and Gromit's cosy home, where Gromit is busy preparing for Christmas, surrounded by presents and festive decorations.
Before Gromit can give Wallace his present, Wallace surprises his four-legged friend with a new Barbour wax jacket to keep him warm during their winter walks.
But Wallace has another surprise up his sleeve.
He's invented the Walk-o-matic, a rather unusual contraption featuring his favourite armchair mounted on enormous wheels made from Wellington boots.
The idea? Wallace can enjoy a lovely countryside walk without actually having to do any walking!
Naturally, things don't go quite as planned.
As the pair venture into the snowy countryside, Wallace's latest invention starts causing trouble before eventually malfunctioning and sending him flying into a snowdrift.
Thankfully, Gromit is there to save the day.
The loyal dog presents Wallace with his own carefully wrapped Christmas gift — a warm Barbour jumper, perfect for recovering from his rather chilly adventure.
The pair eventually abandon the troublesome invention and make their way home for Christmas dinner.
A Surprise Appearance from Shaun the Sheep
Fans of Aardman's other much-loved characters should keep their eyes peeled, because Shaun the Sheep and his flock also make a cameo appearance during the snowy adventure.
It's a lovely little surprise that brings two of Aardman's most recognisable creations together in one Christmas advert.
Wallace & Gromit Continue Their Christmas Tradition
This marks the second consecutive year that Wallace & Gromit have starred in Barbour's Christmas campaign, following their 2025 appearance featuring another Wallace invention, the Gift-o-matic.
The new advert was directed by Steve Harding-Hill and created using Aardman's traditional stop-motion animation techniques.
Wallace & Gromit creator Nick Park also welcomed their festive return, expressing his excitement about seeing the characters enjoying another Christmas adventure.
Alongside the advert, Barbour is releasing a limited-edition collection inspired by Wallace & Gromit, including scarves, hats, bags and even a dog coat, available from December.
With its nostalgic animation, familiar characters and gentle Christmas humour, the new film is a lovely reminder that sometimes the simplest gifts — and spending time with those we love — are what make Christmas special.
What do you think of the new Wallace & Gromit Christmas advert? And which of Wallace's inventions is your favourite?
