Spirit Christmas Is Heading South
The most interesting part of the 2026 expansion is just how much further south Spirit Christmas is travelling.
Until now, the newer Spirit Christmas concept has been concentrated largely around the Northeast and Great Lakes.
For 2026, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia have all joined the Spirit Christmas map for the first time.
Florida is getting the biggest share of that southern expansion, with four stores in Clearwater, Coral Springs, Jacksonville and Winter Garden.
Spirit Christmas Is Coming to Florida for the First Time
For Christmas fans in Florida, this is a particularly big development.
The four new Florida Spirit Christmas stores are:
⭐ Clearwater — 2522 McMullen Booth Road
⭐ Coral Springs — 725 N. University Drive
⭐ Jacksonville — 6000 Lake Gray Boulevard
⭐ Winter Garden — 3049 Daniels Road
Three of those locations are expected to convert from Spirit Halloween into Spirit Christmas after Halloween.
Winter Garden is different.
That store is scheduled to open as Spirit Christmas on October 15, more than two weeks before Halloween — and it is located only around 14 miles from Walt Disney World.
That makes it a particularly interesting addition for people visiting the Orlando area during the run-up to Christmas.
Some Spirit Halloween Stores Will Transform Into Spirit Christmas
Spirit is also taking advantage of something it already does extremely well: temporary seasonal retail spaces.
Of the 43 currently listed Spirit Christmas locations, 38 are operating as Spirit Halloween stores first.
Those stores are expected to close as Spirit Halloween on October 31 before reopening as Spirit Christmas on November 6 — giving staff only a few days to transform the stores from Halloween to Christmas.
That includes the new Tennessee stores in Knoxville and Nashville.
Both locations will operate as Spirit Halloween through Halloween before being turned into Spirit Christmas stores ready for November 6.
The other five locations are Christmas-only stores opening earlier: Hamilton, New Jersey on October 14, followed by Winter Garden, Marlton, Riverdale and Youngstown on October 15
New for 2026: The Candy Cane Express
One of the biggest additions this year is the Candy Cane Express.
It is an interactive Christmas train-station experience featuring an almost life-sized train and caboose that guests can steer and interact with.
The experience also includes an Arrivals and Departures area where children can write letters to Santa and find out whether they have made the nice list.
Christmas animatronics are also expected to include familiar characters such as Snoopy, Frosty the Snowman, Heat Miser, Snow Miser, Clarice and the Misfit Toys.
And because this is still the company behind Spirit Halloween, the Christmas stores aren’t completely abandoning the spooky side of things.
The Creepmas range mixes Christmas with horror-themed merchandise inspired by properties including Ghost Face, Terrifier and Krampus.
Could More Spirit Christmas Stores Be Announced?
Very possibly.
Spirit’s official locator currently lists 15 states, but the company has not said that 43 will be the final number of stores for 2026.
With the first stores not opening until mid-October and the majority opening in November, more locations could still appear.
We’ll keep this page updated whenever additional Spirit Christmas stores are announced, so bookmark it and check back for the latest 2026 locations.
I’d keep that final paragraph in exactly that kind of form because it makes the article useful as an ongoing “live” locations page, rather than a one-off news story.
